Profile

I'm an environmental scientist specializing in environmental chemistry, toxicology modelling. Presently, I am managing the NERC-NRF South-East Asia Plastics (SEAP) funded project "Sources, Impacts and solutions for plastics in South East Asia coastal environments" with Associate Professor Federico Lauro at Nanyang Technological University.

I completed my Doctoral degree in 2022 based on the thesis ''Microplastics' Journey into the Gut" with the microplastics group led by Professor Bart Koelmans at the Wageningen University and Research. In 2016, I was awarded the MENDAKI RDCA to fund my PhD research on plastic-associated organic chemicals. To date, I have worked on multiple environmental pollution projects from surface water quality (marine and freshwater) to haze pollution. I am looking for new collaborations in plastic pollution and ocean sustainability.
